Since you’re not a native German or from Europe, you need to obtain a VISA. You can not obtain a VISA, however, until you’ve first been hired by an employer in Germany. An employer in Germany will not hire you unless you already have a VISA. Yep, it sucks. I’ve done my research because I had considered, several times, moving there to work. I still am. I have books on this. There’s a lot of red tape involved if you’re not looking for work that is in high demand there (IT, etc). There IS a way around the visa-employer-visa deal though….I can’t remember it right now though. Have you considered au pairing??
